What is dry mouth syndrome? What causes it and can you get rid of it?

Don't know what cause's it , my daughter was on cancer treatments and we met some one who had it and they used benadryl and cherry flavor Maalox same thing she used for mouth sores

Two ideas; might be dehydrated (not drinking enough water), or much more serious, being thirsty a lot is a classic sign of diabetes.  I would check it out with your doctor. Fat, skinny, young or old, it can affect anyone.  Talk to your doctor!

where your mouth feels dry all the time and you constantly need a drink.

Generally it is from different medications.  I am not sure what causes it when it is not medication related.
