I really don't know. 25-30 years ago, Doncaster was a pretty stereotypical northern England Urban area, full of interesting architecture. Who knows now adays. I heard they were going to do some serious urban renewal there, to the point that the legendary "Arkright's", the shop from Ronnie Barker's classic "Open all Hours", was to be torn down. It's probably all droll now, and lost it's "british charm'. You know... Tear down all the lovely traditional neigborhoods and put up teneament flats.

So much for progress :-(
