  3. When bowlers bowls the knee of bowlers have front.

  4. A delivery [ball] in disguise.

    pkn

  5. It is a  disguised  delivery bowled by an off-spin bowler, which spins in the opposite direction to his orthodox delivery after pitching.~

  6. HEY !Mohit A .don't u know anything about cricket?but now I am here.when noddy is in action, there is no tension!when a off spinner bowls a leg spin delivery,it's called "dusra".

so now go and sleep!my childhood friend.

  7. The bowler delivers the ball with the same finger action as a normal off break but c***s the wrist so that the back of the hand faces the batsman. This gives the ball spin in the opposite direction to that for an off break, causing it to spin from the leg side to the off side to a right-handed batsman.

Saqlain Mushtaq is credited with its invention and its name means 'second' or 'other' and its called this because thats what Moin Khan used to tell Saqlain to bowl, his other ball.

  8. A "doosra" is a 'trick' delivery bowled by an off-spin bowler, which spins in the opposite direction to his orthodox delivery after pitching. So while a right-handed off-spin bowler would normally make the ball spin from left to right, his "doosra" would spin from right to left. It is bowled with a very slight change to his delivery action that is very difficult for the batsman to pick up, which is where the effectiveness of the delivery comes from.

I'm not sure where the name comes from or what it actually means, beyond that it originates from the Indian subcontinent somewhere, nor could I definitively say who "invented" it... the most successful exponent of it since its inception is undoubtedly the Sri Lankan sensation Muttiah Muralidaran.

  9. when a leg spinner spins the ball off and vice versa thats doosra

  10. It is a delivery generally used by cheats because it is always more of a throwing action than a bowling action - refer to the best exponent Muttiah Muralathiran who has managed to take over 600 test wickets as a bowler without ever really BOWLing a ball.

  11. a variation an off spinner uses, it is bowled different so instead of spinning it in to a irght hander, it spins away to the right hander.

a great example of good doorsara bowlers are murili and Harbhajan Singh

  12. Doosara means  "second" or "other" in Hindi and Urudu..

In cricket, doosra is the off-spinner's version of the googly.

It was invented by Saqlain Mushtaq ofPakistan and being wisely used by M.Muralitharan of Sri Lanka and Harbhajan Singh of India at present.

  13. Dusra means you are expecting one thing and find other thing. In short the bowler tries to make you a fool and take your wicket. All spinners have to be cunning or they all may be taken to the cleaners.
