  1. Assuming you are doing it for legitimate reasons and can back it up with letters, phone calls etc. I'd go for the fiance Visa.  Just easier to be above board and do it properly. I had my fiance Visa within 6 weeks start to finish. I sent in proof of our relationship as in the letters etc. which had dates to back things up. I sent some of the cards we'd exchanged (ok not the naughty ones!) and got everything back safe and sound to me.  Hope this helps. I know it doesn't really answer your question but do it right the first time and you don't have to look over your shoulder later.

  2. You can marry anyone anytime in an internationally recognized marriage however:

if she travels to the U.S adn you marry on a tourist visa then that may constitute a visa fraud and she may have difficulties in the future obtaining a greencard. As long as you are both honest and free of criminal or other things which would deny her a visa then you would still get one for her anyway though the delay with occur

If you are planning to live in the UK then you would have to follow thier immigration and working procedures to obtain the proper visa for there.

If she intends to live and work in the U.S. and you wnat to marry here, the K-1 fiance visa exist for this purpose

If you marry overseas you can apply for the K-3 spouse visa for her to come to the U.S.

If you marry and live overseas for a while and then want to live in the U.S. you can do a direct consular adjustment

All information is archaically describes in the USCIS.com website or a more user-friendly forum and guide with visajourney.com

I suggest you use visajourney and click on the guides and it will spell out all the senarios in which you can marry and get your fiance/spouse the proper visa/greencard
