What is easiest way to learn Spanish?

Hello,

Sorry, I can think of no easy way. Lots of classroom hours, grammar drills, tons of homework and written assignments, not to mention continual exposure to Spanish speakers. Forget those lying commercials that say be fluent in 6 weeks. It is not going to happen except to Sci -Fi anderoids like Data.

Get tutored for a few months to get the basics and text book grammar under you belt, and then submerge yourself in the language by going to a Spanish speaking country for some time.

Basically there are two things I can think of:

1. Learn the phrases in Spanish that you'll actually use in daily life. (Questions and answers that you would ask to family, friends, coworkers, in school.) You only need to learn the things you know you'll be involved in. Anything else is wasted time because you won't use it.

2. Practice training your ear to natives' accents.

Here's a pretty good website to learn the most common things people talk about and it has movies if you want to practice your listening.
