  1. Two answers to the first one, easy to confuse.

    Energy conservation is the practice of using less energy (usually electricity) through cutting waste and making smarter choices about what we do and buy.

    I have the feeling that the law of conservation of energy might be closer to what you are looking for.

    It states that energy can neither be createdd nor destroyed, but only changed in form- sunlight being converted into electricity in a solar panel, for instance.

    Heat conduction is when you have something that is hot.  Put something agains the hot thing, and it wil get warm too.  THe heat energy flows or is conducted through the materials.  you're not adding energy, just redistibuting it.

    It relates to conservation of energy in that all mechanical devices are not 100% efficient in converting energy from one form to another.  Most of these losses come through friction, which changes some ofthe energy into heat, which is then conducted away from the system, into the air or whatever the machine is attached to.
