  1. epilepsy is a seizure disorder where a person (or animal) can have a mild to severe seizure without warning. There a drugs that reduce the risk of seizures (I don't know exactly how to spell it but phenol-barbatol is one) and they also have pets that can detect oncoming seizure in humans
