  1. When rocks are broken down into smaller particles, they become sediments. These sediments are easily carried off by the wind, water and gravity. The displacement of the sediments is what you call erosion. One of the major factors in soil erosion is running water. Like rivers and rain, they carry sediments as they move downhill. In deserts where rain does not occur frequently, wind carries the sand to different places.

  2. The high mountain ranges produced by continental collisions are immediately subjected to the forces of erosion. Erosion wears down the mountains and massive piles of sediment are developed in adjacent ocean margins, shallow seas, and as continental deposits. As these sediment piles are buried deeper they become lithified into sedimentary rock. The metamorphic, igneous, and sedimentary rocks of the mountains become the new piles of sediments in the adjoining basins and eventually become sedimentary rock

  3. erosion is when wind &/ or water carry/blow sediments of rock to other places that eventually form a new rock , & as sediments of each rock keep breakinq off the water & or wind will continue their process. (rock cycle) erosion also goes hand in hand with weathering. they are partners in crime.
