What is essential for making a great alcoholic frozen drink?

I'm only 16, but i want to get my parents a book filled with frozen drink recipes, and i want to get them a blender and some ingredients too (except beer obviously). But what else should i get them that is unique that ties into this?

For the book, get them whats called "The Bartenders Bible"  It has almost any drink imaginable.  You might buy them some glasses, and some stem decorations (used to tell whos glass is whos), Margarita salt is good, fresh fruit like limes and lemons....   When you buy the book, look at a couple of the recipes and you'll get some more gift ideas.

These answers... well, just let me tell you this.  Without a GOOD BLENDER.. you may as well FORGET having a 'great' drink.  If you can't get your ice right, you can mix the best ingredients in the world , and your drink will suck.

After getting the book & blender that is enopugh. But you may also purchase equipment/tools. A zester for fruit peels. Stirrers and glasses etc.  But these can be purchased over time.  They do not want you spending all your &bling& on them, nice as it is.

There are flavored margarita mixes in boxes (mango is good).  They don't include liquor, so you can buy them:)  Go to Linen & Things, or Bed, Bath & Beyond.  At the front of the store, they'll have summery things and carry the mixes.  Also, a cute set of margarita glasses (like the ones with a cactus base)......
