  1. Etherenet is a cable which connects your computer with your INTERNET source (router/modem/etc) and (no harm ment) DDUH!!

  2. ethernet is how you connect to the internet, you need iether ethernet drivers, ethernet cord, or wireless ethernet card.

  3. An ethernet as a local network technology - so if you had two or three computers linked in your house they would use an ethernet. And the wire that links the computers is referred to  as 'ethernet cable' (it's rj45 usually - like phone wire but a bit thicker).

The internet is a widely dispersed collection of networks all inter-linked.

So, if you are at school/work and on the internet, you are usually on a local ethernet network, which is linked to a single computer which is your access point to the internet. So, each computer is just linked to the ethernet, rather than every one linked to the internet directly (that'd require lots of phone lines!)

There's also an 'intranet' which is a local internet running on your ethernet network. So your school/work might share web-pages and so on to let you know about things, but you can't get to it from the internet - it's local to your network.

  4. Ethernet is really a vital part of the internet. Here is an easy read for you that explains it all.

Hope this helps clarify things for you..........

  5. eithernet is a cabel that connects you to internet it goes from your machine to your modem or router

  6. one way to connect your computer to the Internet, that is faster than other methods

  7. read on www.webopedia.com

    Internet =

Ethernet is a type of a computer network.  It lets computers (in an office) "talk" to each other.  An ethernet computer network may (or may not) be configured so that the computers can access the Internet.
