Question:

What is etiquette for carpooling?

I found a carpooler to share my 30 mile commute, and he's offering to pay all gas money if I drive every day. This is great for me, but is it fair for him? What is general etiquette in these situations?

  1. I think it's fair because the wear and tear will all be on your car. I think the problem will be in figuring out how much gas money he should give you assuming that this car will not solely be used for carpooling.

  2. i car pool the same distance and we go week for week. but if you do all the driving then i would figure what my car gets in mileage then say it cost you 50 bucks a week in gas take 25 from him.
