What is everybodys problem with Rex in BB9?

Question

Its a game show yet everybody who has ever faced a bit of playground taunting are comparing Rex to satin himself! Everyone saying that they hate Rex is so overly dramatic. If he was what everybody thinks he is, Big Brother and Channel 4 would have had him out straight away as they did with the scary Alex.

Hes cheeky, hes arrogant, hes a control freak.....we all know this already but the fact is he has been the only one who has constantly provided entertainment from day one. If people are acting stupid he tells them instead of "molly-coddling" them each time they cry. Sarah was acting stupid, he picked her up on it as he did when Darnell went completely over the top with abusing Sarah. He is the only one who speaks to mikey as a fully grown man unlike the others that talk to mikey like hes a child. Hes only blind and shouldnt be allowed to act like a barbarian in a social setting. Rex picked him on on that and the snide comments. Fact is that Mikey is jealous of Rexs power over the house.....someone had to be a leader as the rest are such weak charachters.

Rex cooked every single day for all those hungers and taught them how to do alot.

He speaks as he see which has to be adnired, you know where you stand with him Id imagine.

Nicole is no good for him and brought out the worst in him, they are not suited, she is too young needy and immature.

Even KAt said last night how decent Rex is!

He is not a bully, I have been bullied so I speak from experince!

What the h**l?  Rex is a disgraceful person.  Boasting about everything he's got all the time, which is a joke as he's completely free-loaded everything off his facther.  He has bullied Sara, along with Darnell, and talks disgustingly to people in the house, but gets away with it because he's the house alpha male, despite being a strawberry blonde runt.  

I suspect he will win, but hope to god he doesn't.

I completely agree with you.  I think he has a very dry sense of humour which comes across as being nasty.

And I agree about Nicole being too immature for him.  He needs a proper woman who he can have proper conversations and a banter with without them going off in a huff and storming around.

Not everyone in the world is happy all of the time.

And yeah, if he was really that bad then he would have been long gone!  He's just speaking his mind, not to cause upset, but because that's his views of things.

thing is he will pull anyone if he has the hump about something - i.e mo on the not sharing the cig's fairly with sara - if he was bullying sara why would he stand up for her in that arguement

i disagree slightly with the nicole situation well not really disagree but with her he did come across needy and paranoid she defo bought out a bad side in him, and it would be interesting tosee if that was with all girlf's or just nicole

i like rex and would love to see him win, its annoying that people say he shouldn't win because he has money, thats not really fair if he has been the fav housemates he should win regardless of his wealth

My problem with Rex comes and goes. I hated him when he picked on Rachel for no good reasons.

People like him irritate me because I could never tell if they were joking or not.

He has given my some good laughs though and I would like him to come 3rd.

Other than when Nicole was in and he turned into a total bell end I find Rex entertaining.

Uneducated idiots jump on the whole bully bandwagon, he isn't a bully end of.

He is a bit of a t**t sometimes but at least he is consistent and freely admits to being horrible, I hope he wins, deserves it for constantly winding up miss disney fat ar$e.

He thinks he's clever and a master manipulator of people but sadly he is pretty dumb ("loveing" on his psych profile anyone?) and uses cheap schoolboy tactics to ingratiate himself with other people. Read up on school/pack mentality and you'll understand.

He leads a session of bullying/taunting then backs off and apologises when it gets out of hand. In my book that makes him a total weasel.

Putting aside his toxic relationship with Nicole for a moment he stated that he has no actual friends on the outside...Is he honestly surprised by that I wonder??

I think the most interesting moment came when Mikey accused him of bullying after BB warned him for the second time. For a few seconds he actually fell apart as he glimpsed the possibility that he might not be as wonderful as he thinks he is. You could see it on his face.....he faced the fact that he is an unpleasnt bully and really didn't like it. Sadly people with his personality type/disorder will create a mythology of justification whenever they feel threatened. His everyday justification for his behaviour is that he's only joking but any mature adult can see through that as a child's trick to save accepting responsibility for their own actions.

You could say it's not his fault that he's like he is but you could also say that he deliberately doesn't face the truth about himself.

Personally I dislike people like this ......which is my problem ^^

ya i agree with you i don't see the problem with rex either.  i will admit that he was a prat while nicole was there but i don't think he had any other choice to be honest cos if he didn't do as she wanted he would have to put up with her crying and sulking so for a quiet life he had to "protect" her and smother her with attention.  he was thrilled to bits when she was evicted, it was like a weight lifted off his shoulders and he could go back to actually being able to talk to the rest of his housemates. do you remember when kat cried cos he had to argue with her over dopey nicole and when she refused to give mo and sara a cigarette to share? the second her back was turned he went straight to kat to apologise and explain himself and he also gave mo and sara a cigarette and told them not to tell nicole. i don't think he is bullying anyone, he's just telling it how it is.  rachel is more boring than scrabble and kat was wrecking everyones head with her constant singing and shouting over everyone when they were speaking.  he is the most honest person in the house, the rest of them are game playing.

The only reason he was not evicted is because he was not nominated ..... if he had he would have been out weeks ago.

Should Rachel HAVE to defend herself ..... he is the one breaking the rules otherwise BB would not be 'monitoring his behaviour'. Besides first you say she wasn't bullied and now you are saying she should have defended herself. Hmmmm

i agree i think rex is fantastic, i don't know why people cant see that. its like the other night when sara was getting upset with mo for not sharing cigarettes and rex ended up giving her some because he IS A NICE GUY! nicole is totally wrong for him i don't see why mikey was always saying that rex treated nicole like **** he just wanted to spend time with her because he hadnt seen her in 10 weeks! she was a spoilt brat who takes advantage of him. if rex wasnt in that house hardly anyone would watch because the rest of them would just sit around doing nothing all day! ok rant over.

Ok you may say it wasn't bullying, but with Rachael (& I'm not saying this because I like her, I don't) it clearly was victimisation.

At first i thought Rex was a complete idiot. I thought he was so arrogant and grumpy.

But now i probably think he is the most normal in the house. I have grown to like him, and i reckon now he has a great chance of winning.

he's irritating and that is what most people see on the condensed show. he is also capable of kind acts and of friendship, but he still irritates me. I wouldn't have gone as far as to say I hate him, but had I been in there I think we might have clashed more than once.

OMG get Rex out!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so arrogant, self obsessed, sarcastic, rude bully. I hate people like him. they think they can walk over anyone they want.
