I know this has been asked a few times today already, but now I am asking it. Don't like it, don't answer. If you have an intelligent, mature comment to add from either side I would like to hear it.

  1. The Black community needs to stand up as one and dethrone Jackson as their self-appointed spokesman.  The sooner that people stop listening to him and Sharpton the sooner race relations will improve.

  2. I think you should have used spell check, but I will answer your question as I have the last one.

I think he made a grave mistake, and his punishment is already in motion, people are calling him a hypocrite, which he is in this respect.  He boycotted to have the word removed from the Dictionary, and in turn used it on public television.  Jesse, Jesse, Jesse, when will you learn.  Much worse than Imus or the actor from Seinfeld, since these guys weren't boycotting the word, and weren't boycotting anyone who said the word.

I still respect him as a leader, but he has made a huge mistake.  It's like seeing the priest drinking the Holy Water.

  3. Jesse Jackson does not speak for every black person in the U.S.! In my opinion he is just a bitter racist hypocrite! He's not upset with Barack Obama because he thinks that he has been talking down to black people, but because he has  accomplished something that he was unable to!

  4. Jesse Jackson is a bad boy.

  5. The problem with Jesse is that he knows his days are numbered as any kind of "Expert" of anything. Barack isn't going to ever listen to him about anything and rightly so.  Jesse- you can stick a fork in him because he is done-Jackson. Don't let the door hit you in the behind.

  6. What you say is true. The fact that he is not being called on the carpet for it is just an example of the total hypocrisy that liberals represent. Obama himself once described his grandmother as being a "typical white person" on live TV. Imagine if John McCain described any black as a "typical black person". There is your difference and your hypocrisy.

  7. Jackson is a complete idiot. He needs to be ignored. He speaks for no one and is no more than a hustler who has never held a job.

  8. The N-word should only be used to point out that dehumanising sections of society ALWAYS leads to atrocity.

The Rev. Jackson should apologise to society for his error and explain why he feels his apology is necessary.

Equality means that all should strive to treat all the same.

Therefore if I, he, we condemn, then our standards too, may also be measured.

I have noticed that the Rev. Jackson appears to be mis-speaking quite regularly these days, with the greatest of respect, a check up might be in order.

  9. I think he is defiantly a hypocrite. If he doesn't want anyone else using the word he shouldn't. I think the idea that it's OK for black people to use the word is bull. If he is going to raise h**l and have protests about other people saying it, he should set an example and not use it. It's like he is trying to stereotype black people. What's wrong with people like Obama or Bill Cosby telling black people they need to be accountable for themselves and try to do good in school and graduate, and not have babies at a very young age.

I think that Jessie Jackson is just jealous because there is another black man that is getting a lot more attention than he is.

  10. I can understand why the "N" word as you call it, as it could be offencive to blacks. The "F" word is also taboo but used thousands of times in movies. In Britain P*ki is also taboo although its only a shortened version of Pakistan, bit like Brit also a shortened version of British. That's why I like Australians who do call a spade a spade. I wonder why the shortened word for Pakistan was blocked by  yahoo but not Brit ??? Its an odd world
