  1. A definition in webster's may not satisfy everyone's question of what is evil. it depends on what you consider to be mean, cruel, injust, whatever. For instance, I think a mother killing her children is evil.

  2. Evil is the absence of a good nature, heart, mannerism,

etc.,. It's also a soul devoid of a conscience. A dark

soul which can render no compassion. Evil is also actions

which are contrary to the intended purpose of life as

regulated by the moral codes, golden rules, laws of

    ethics, etc.,.

Evil can be a person, place of thing. But mainly it's a spirit.

It's also inferior to good..for evil is a weakness(sin) and not a strength.

    Peace/Joy

  3. Evil is something we as a society except as wrong and the opposite of good.  Or, rather, things we as a society condemn as wrong and the opposite of good.

  4. Our perception of things that we find cruel or unfair. In reality though it is simply nature. The great Oak tree starves many small plants as it strives to live. The innocent kitten will torture another living creature for pure enjoyment. The list of injustice (as we perceive it) is quite long.

  5. evil is all about perception and what they think evil is for them..... not everyone. so i cannot give a real answer for evil but i can say what is evil for me and me alone. not for everyone.

  6. Evil is anything that causes some form of harm to others or oneself.

  7. anything that hurt in purpose is EVIL.

  8. The standard of value of the Objectivist ethics—the standard by which one judges what is good or evil—is man’s life, or: that which is required for man’s survival qua man.

Since reason is man’s basic means of survival, that which is proper to the life of a rational being is the good; that which negates, opposes or destroys it is the evil.

"The Objectivist Ethics,” The Virtue of Selfishness, 23. - Ayn Rand

  9. "Evil" is an excuse word, a label we slap on things that we don't agree with and want destroyed.

If you ask me, for someone to be evil, they must knowingly and purposefully commit an act they know to be wrong and destructive. Even Hitler thought he was acting for the good of the world.

Does anyone do wrong purposefully? Or would we just like to imagine that they do, instead of confronting the complexities of real life?

  10. Hatred. Plain in simple. All evil is derived by some kind of hate and can only be distinguished by love.

  11. Anything that causes harm is evil.

  12. Anything and Everything bad - that simple.

    Murder, Rape, Sodomy, Molestation, Etc.

  13. EVIL can be 'bad things, hurting some one intentionally, doing or planning destructing things, one who thinks of only negative, enjoying others sufferings etc.

  14. I would say the word evil is used to mean, behavior or motivation that offends or is contrary to the most deeply held natural human values (natural because we are social creatures), those of basic respect for human life and dignity. There are large gray areas of judgment, but I think that in general, the less regard for those values, or the more values privileged above those, that a person has, the more that person is liable to fit the description "evil."

  15. Evil is e-veil, energy-veil and energy-veiling, what Plotinus termed veils or errors distancing one from One Mind Soul.

Devil is deified evil, "as gods"ness without the love of God as first love.

"Paths of Light and Darkness" and "The Path of Christ or Antichrist," Mark Prophet, and

"The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil," O. M. Aivanhov, are contemporary, worthwhile.

A fun read is "Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians," Brandon Sanderson.

  16. Evil can be a person, a deed, a thought, etc

I think determining what things are evil is based widley on opinion- like it wasn't just one person who thought Hitler was evil, it was entire countries.

And then sometimes, say someone will do something you think is evil, but then someone else may not agree its evil.

  17. Actions that go against life for the benefit of a one or a few elite . No concern for the the welfare of others.

  18. bush

  19. evil is live backwards.

When your life energy goes somewhere besides where you want it, that's evil.

  20. A myth.

Evil does not exist outside the mind.

  21. evil is something people over exagerate in cartoons. Real evil happens in the real world. evil could be murder, hate, cheating, kidnapping, stealing or anything else sinful.

  22. to be evil is to lack the consciousness of being aware that you are causing pain or suffering.
