What is exchange folder in bluetooth?

im trying to get my music from my phone and set it as a ringtone. someone told me that you need to use bluetooth, so now i put my msic in my exchange folder with bluetooth.

and i have NO idea what that is or means.

please explain!! :)

  1. Your question is a little vague (and complicated) but I'll try to answer.

    First, you don't need bluetooth to set a music tone as your ringtone. All you need is to put music/songs in your music folder. Each cell phone is different in how it handles this and not all cell phones allow you to move files (and i.e. music) to and from your computer - actually a lot of phones don't allow this... blackberry cell phones do.

    Second, the official name for bluetooth in Mac's is the "bluetooth file exchange" so I don't know if you have a Mac - if you do I am not sure how that would work.

    (This is probably the simplest part)

    Third, Consult your cell phone manual. If your cell phone doesn't allow you to transfer files via bluetooth from your computer you must have a data cable or use a ringtone service, either from your carrier or other internet site.

    Once you have the music you want you would select it as your ring tone, if you can't find it the easiest way is to go to your cell phone manufacturers website support page, such as samsung.com or motorola.com
