What is expected of a division 2 track athlete?

I'm entering college next year and I'm on the track team. I just wanted to know some details like how long does the season last? can I play intramurals when I'm not in season? do I train year long with the team(I know I would train year long on my own but with the team?) etc.

yes many encourage particiaption in other sports

and if the team trains you train with the team

and you can do some indivual training also
