In my school system, Family Life is for grades 4 and 5. A person comes and talks to the students about the changes that puberty will bring. A woman usually talks to the girls and a man talks to the boys.

The talk also is about reproduction.

The talk is very tame and pretty much takes 45 minutes to say nothing.

Any images that are shown during the talk are like cartoons and not real people, so you still are left with no clue what these body parts look like.

You leave the talk knowing that you should take more showers and use deodorant.

School systems do this talk so that they can say they do it, but they also don't want to get sued, so they keep the talk very tame.
