  1. The female condom is a thin sheath or pouch worn by a woman during s*x. It entirely lines the v****a and helps to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) including HIV. Two types of female condom are available.

  2. They are safe... as well they cover a bit of the outside of the genitals, which is a better protection for Herpes.

    However, I have yet to know a female (or male) that likes them. They are noisy and uncomfortable. And messy afterwards.

    I'd go with the man wearing the condom, but also have a back up (birth control pills, depo shot... which ever you are comfortable with). Also, have both yourself and your partner tested before becoming sexually active.

    If you really want to try one, go to Planned Parenthood... they might have them. If not, they have male condoms for free.
