  1. A mantra is a phrase or saying you repeat or "chant" to yourself. It is a way to focus/meditate on your task at hand. Thus a fitness mantra might be something as simple as this: flat abs, strong arms, healthy body... etc.

    It is something personal that you create that helps you focus. Thoughts are very powerful and the right mantra can really help you reach your goals.

  3. A mantra (from Hindu religion) is a phrase repeated as a prayer or meditation to give you strength to accomplish a goal. In popular American culture we use mantras to stay motivated as we push toward our goals (even though we are not doing it as a religious thing). Example; "I think I can, I know I can, I will succeed!"  

  4. I have heard it being refered, I always thought it was a certain state of fitenss. A very fit stage that you try and achieve. Not 100% sure.

  5. It's a new age thing that has nothing to do with fitness. I suggest you steer clear of this.
