  1. 1. He discovered the laws of motion

    2. Discovered an object in motion tends to stay in motion. (If your in a car accident the car stops but your body wants to keep moving)

    3. Discovered that every action has an equal and opposite reaction (if you push something it pushes back with equal force)

    4. Force equals mass times acceleration. (Little bit tougher, that means that velocities change depending on the forces that are acting on them, gravity being the main one)

    5. He is one of the 4 major physicists of our time, the others being before him galileo and after him einstein and hawking.

    6. He was the strangest scienctist in history. Always in his room very aggressive to people that thought he was wrong, extremely cut off from most of society.

    good enough?

  2. Do your own homework.

    .

  3. Caro -

With no offense intended to Dr Hawking, I would still place him just slightly behind Ludwig Boltzmann and Mendeleev. I suspect he might agree.

One thing that I always thought was interesting: Galileo died, still a prisoner in his own home (by order of the Pope) in 1642. On Christmas Day of the same year, Newton was born.

  4. A fifth grader would look up 'Issac Newton' on wikipedia and copy the first 5 things they saw.
