  1. flex fuel means the car can detect and adjust the engine for anything from pure gasoline 85 octane, to 15% gasoline and 85% ethanol.  It can't run methanol or butanol. It can not rune pure ethanol.

The problem is that E85 cost 20% less than gasoline, but you get 20% less miles per gallon, so why bother, you do not save money.

  2. you can use e-85 gas which is 85 percent ethnol 15 percent gas. you can find it at some stations

  3. i sure that flex fuel is made of corn no .........wait thats ethonal fuel

  4. It means that the vehicle can use pump gasoline, e85 (which is 85% alcohol 15% gasoline), or any mix ratio of the two of them.  I have been running e85 for about 4 years, with a 15% drop in fuel mileage.

My fuel costs are about the same as gasoline, but there are less emissions, my fuel dollars stay in this country, and my engine will last longer running alcohol.
