Give me a few billion years to answer the first part and I will get back with you. I will then give you a few billion to give your response and then perhaps we can take a few billion to agree that we have only just begun to experience forever. To me, there is no fundamental difference twixt the two, but if one dissects the words, always can become all ways, but forever remains for ever forever, pun intended. It is conceivable that there may come an end to "ways" so always can well be finite. Take the words of Jesus at the end of Matthew. "and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." is the King James version, but in actuality it says the end of the age. This is an extreme example of the import of His words, but what if I were to say I will go with you anywhere at all, but then modify it and qualify it by saying even to the end of the block? Since this is not the Religion & Spirituality section, I will not get into the significance of those words of Jesus, but I think it well illustrates how people can misunderstand things. But back to your two words. I think that both of those words are bandied about too easily and freely. How many people say "I will love you always" when they really mean until your snorting when you laugh becomes to much of a bore or an embarrassment? Or I will love you until something better comes along? It seems that to many people always simply means until a parting of the ways. But I think in my view those two words will always have the same meaning, and maybe even forever.

FOREVER is like infinity; it never ends. meanwhile ALWAYS is kinda like something that never changes [for instance: i will ALWAYS love football]. it's like i will ALWAYS love it FOREVER. so i guess they're intertwined because ALWAYS cannot exist without FOREVER.
