What is form 16? (India)?

I want to know details about form 16.

It is a TDS certificate which give the details about your salary income with deductions and tax payable and tax deducted by the employer.

Under Indian Income Tax laws, Form 16 is a certificate issued by the employer to employee showing tax and other amounts deducted at source from the income of the employee.

Form 16 also shows the net income of the employee and details of TDS amount deposited.
