  1. ALL students should be given THE trust TO the level of THEIR knowledge and understanding... Human behavior is WELL documented and stages of development too.   A "student age" person does NOT have the same grasp on BIG picture items that an oldster would have <c; *wink*

Therefore...... Freedom YES, freedom to SEEK wisdom from those that WOULD STOP you from WRONGful decisions .

  2. Liberty, n: One of imaginations most precious possessions."

          Ambrose Bierce

"The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men."

              Samuel Adams

Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed - else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.

    Dwight D. Eisenhower

In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved.

        Franklin D. Roosevelt

Freedom is like respect!  It's nit given away or bestowed uopn you,. it's earned !

If you think you'll just be given freedom then you have a very rude awakening coming!

Moral cowardice that keeps us from speaking our minds is as dangerous to this country as irresponsible talk. The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character.

          Margaret Chase Smith

It is not the function of the government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice : Robert H. Parker

  3. Freedom -> independence. BTW, what age group of students are we discussing here?

  4. The Human Right To Peace is something students should have the freedom to help acquire for not only themselves but everyone in any nation through that which a protects all citizens a constitution or the equivalent.
