Okhla Industrial Area or Okhla Industrial Estate is a industrial suburb of New Delhi in South Delhi and mainly divided in 4 phases namely Okhla Industrial Area Phase 1, Okhla Industrial Area Phase 2, Okhla Industrial Area Phase 3 and the main area called Okhla Village (Commonly known as the main Okhla). The whole industrial area is named after Okhla Village. Okhla is a large area and that’s why most of its nearby areas known as its own parts like Zakir Nagar, Zakir Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Kalindi Colony, Kalindi Kunj, Govindpuri, Sriniwaspuri, Sarita Vihar and Kalkaji. The Asia’s largest planned city NOIDA is named after this area of Delhi on the other side of the river Yamuna.
