  1. The furnace is for heating, but your furnace has a blower that forces air through the vents in your home. If you have central air conditioning, the blower is usually set up to force the cold air from the cooling unit through your home. So you have a furnace and a blower in the basement or utility area, and if you have an air conditioning unit, it sits outside and uses the furnace blower. too.

  2. The purpose of the furnace is to heat air.

It FUNCTIONS by igniting a fuel source in a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger becomes hot and the blower motor in the furnace blows air across the hot exchanger thereby heating the air. This air is pushed through your ductwork and into the house.

As a side note: The blower in the furnace that is used to move the warm air is also used to move the cold air from an air conditioner. =)

  3. Furnace is for heating... Give me best answer... I want it.

  4. heating only

  5. The furnace supplies heat but usually the blower of the furnace is the same blower for the air conditioner.
