  1. Firstly you can expect some bigger scores and even faster scoring rates. Initially we will see a similar effect to 50/50 on test matches, improved fielding, improvisation and new tactics.

In the long run though it will be based purely on the demands of fans. If people want IPL/T20 then the one day game could be reduced to only a few games and series a year.

Having said this cricket is one of the only sports in the world where there are THREE lengths of a game! Can anyone imagine this happening for soccer!? Eventually we might settle on one form of the game.

  2. 20/20 should be left for entertainment purposes.

while, ODI - also entertaining - is where real competition will lie.

scoring rates have already starting rising rapidly - look at the runs scored between south africa and australia recently. both scoring 400 each.

in ODI's much skill is required.

wheras 20/20's depend a lot on luck and massive power.

  3. Future of ODI Cricket is not very bright actually. There is a good chance that Twenty20 cricket will over shadow the 50 over version of the game.

The real (test) cricket might be the only sane cricket left for the hardcore cricket fan!

  4. Better and improved.

  5. one day should be stopped

  6. Why care about future present ODI's are alright
