Rockstar seem to always come under fire for making controversial games. Manhunt and Manhunt 2 for their violence and gore. GTA series for its s*x and disregards for real world "laws". San Andreas in particular for the hot coffee incident.

But don't forget, even Resistance on PS3 came under fire for aliens in Manchester cathedral withoug permission from the Church of England. And God of War came in for criticism of a real goat slaying at the game's launch!!!

manhunt!!!!!!!.... agreed.... the longer u hold down the button the more graphic the kill, i got a sick and twisted mind but that game was even to much for me..... which means it is very bad...!!!!!

Manhunt/Manhunt 2. Manhunt 2 was the only game ever to be banned in Ireland plus man hunt has been banned all over the world because it encourages senseless and bloody killings

It's hard to say really, mainly because of the amount of video games there are that contain controversial material; some, such as GTA games, contain several forms of offensive material and in others eg Manhunt the controversy is born of of a single kind of offence ie graphic violence. I would certainly say that the GTA and Manhunt games have caused a lot of controversy, but they are not the only ones. Carmageddon caused a bit of an uproar, as did Night Trap in the early '90s. However, it also depends on where abouts in the world you live, as well as what you find offensive.

Though I personally lack the ability to be offended by most things (simulated or real), I would say the title of most controversial game would go to either GTA San Andreas, Manhunt 2 or possibly Canis Canem Edit (aka Bully in the States).

i say manhunt because that game has been banned therefore i would say the gta franchise because there is so much freedom and you can do anything u want including snipering someone right imbetween the eyebrow

I'm gona agree with everyone here and say Man-hunt, but I think Condemed comes a close second because you alternate between closely examining mutilated murder victims and bashing tramps heads in with lead pipes.

Also one that might have gone over a few peoples heads is a mission in Fable.  Now I know what you're thinking: "What the h**l you talking about, there was nothing dark about Fable!"  But consider the mission to open one of the Demon Door.  It said that it would only open if you commited an act of great evil in its presense.  This had me taking my wife to the door and brutally murdering her and when that didn't work, befriending children with chocolates, luring them to the door and hacking them to pieces.  That was some pretty sick $h*t!

The most violent video game would be Mant hunt or the GTA franchise. Manhunt was a game whee you had to stalk and kill people so you wouldnt be killed. And if you dont know GTA is aseries where you cando anything. Buy rocket launchers snipers, or strangle people, buy prostitutes and sell drugs.
