The other answer is mostly correct, but there is NO Mylanta (or any other antacid) in generic tagamet.  Mylan is a manufacturer of generic drugs - it is not related to the antacid Mylanta at all.  Your pills are just generic Tagamet (cimetidine) made by the Mylan company.

Tagamet's generic name is Cimetadine.  the Tagamet Mylan just has a Mylanta-type antacid in the same tablet.  Tagamet and Mylanta are both medications for excess acid and acid reflux.  Some people get mildly sleepy when they take Tagamet, but most people don't notice any effects except that they no longer have too much acid.
