Can robots be built with a emotional concept?

The word genome is an amalgam of the words chromosome and gene. Literally it is the information that makes humans have distinct characteristics and the ability to reproduce sexually. That is one reason why making a robot with an emotional concept may be impossible. Think of it this way you can build the robot to express emotion but how would it reproduce its specific dna structures (and also that of its partner) and distribute them sexually to another robot? Genomes are unique to sensient organisms but the whole idea of robots making baby robots is just difficult to fathom.
