I've looked on google and all I can come up with are long words and many things I just don't understand! Could anybody please help! I'm quite thick tbh so simple answers please! =)

ok you now that global warming is not just caused by CO2 and other greenhouse gases but we just worsen it. This is a natural process and is why we had ice ages and melting throughout history. Global cooling is the opposite of global warming and is the time between the earth being at its hottest,  and the next ice age.

its the exact opposite of global warming. If we woudl have global cooling not global warming the temperatures would be going down not rising

Simply put - particulate pollution increases the probability of cloud formation.  Clouds reflect sunlight.  That cools the earth.

That effect reduces the total effects of global warming.  As we clean up particulate pollution global warming becomes even more potent.

Right now China is the major source of particulate pollution.

The big picture . . .

We are presently in an interglacial period.  That means that we are taking a little break because really, we are in the middle of an ice age.  As global temperatures have gone for the last 3 billion years, we are still on the cool side.

We can and should expect the global climate to cool significantly in the future.  How soon is a matter of debate.  How cool?  Think glaciers covering the central US and Canada.  That is global cooling.

Basically, the major effect of global warming would be for the sea levels to rise dramatically, covering a lot of the earth. As a lot of the landmass would be covered by water, the heat rays would reflect off of the water.

Therefore, a lot of the heat would be reflected off of the water, and would not stay on the earth, resulting in Global Cooling, and possibly, The Second Ice Age.

its the other possible outcome of global warming. either it would become all hot or all cold like the day after tomorrow depending on how high the clouds created from polution are.
