  1. The citric acid cycle, also known as the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA cycle) or the Krebs cycle,  is a series of enzyme-catalysed chemical reactions of central importance in all living cells that use oxygen as part of cellular respiration.

    these glycolysis and citric acid cycle are the same things.

    An electron transport chain couples a chemical reaction between an electron donor (such as NADH) and an electron acceptor (such as O2) to the transfer of H+ ions across a membrane, through a set of mediating biochemical reactions.

    Oxidative phosphorylation is a metabolic pathway that uses energy released by the oxidation of nutrients to produce adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

  2. HI MY FRIEND

    (try to understand if you can)

    first know what is mitochondria:it is the part of the cell where energy is produced.hence is also called POWERHOUSES OF THE CELL.

    also know what is ATP:the form in which energy is stored

    glycolysis

    it is the first stage of respiration

    glyco=sugar;lysis=breaking down

    in this process,glucose is converted to 2 molecules of pyruvic acid.

    this process involves 6 reactions& doesn't require oxygen.this process occurs both in the presence & absence of oxygen.

    citric acid cycle

    this is also called KREB'S CYCLE as SIR HANS KREBS discovered it for which he was awarded the nobel prize.it is the 2nd stage.this process involves a series of 10 reactions & the carbons of pyruvate are oxidized in a stepwise manner to carbon dioxide.

    electron transport

    it occurs in F1 PARTICLES of mitochondria.the electron acceptors are arranged like chains.during this transport of electrons,energy liberated is trapped by ADP & iP MOLECULES to form ATP......

    its difficult to explain in simpler words than these

    hope this helps you my friend
