What is going on in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni?

I've reached episode 9 and am really interested in the movie but, am very confused why every 4 episodes he ends up dieing a different way. Keichi or something like that. I read the summary but still why is this cycle repeating?

  1. i was so freakin' confuzed like you but every 4 eps or so its a new story arc i don't wanna spoil any more buts it ALL explained during the second season (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai 24 eps -- contains the two solution arcs)
