What is going on in the stock market, the economy, and what is the impact of rising gas prices doing to you?

  1. I  took all my money out of stocks and real estate before the bubble burst. Now, I'm waiting for a buying opportunity when the DOW hits about 8000. That probably won't happen for another year or two when the economy finally starts to recover. Until then, I'll keep my money in CD's, short bonds, and I may buy some shares at my local golf club.

    My office is just as far from my home as it has always been and I get nervous when my car travels at less than 80 mph, so I'm burning just as much gas.  I got my wife an SUV, so she burns more gas, but she nags less (that makes it worthwhile).


  2. It's giving me gas....

    Food and gas prices are kicking my butt. To offset it, I am spending less on entertainment like dinning out, movies, etc.
