What do you mean, this is the stock markets normal behaviour! There are bull markets where most stocks go up and bear markets where most stocks go down. That is the way the Stock market works!

It's the nature of the beast. Those who have been around long enough are used to this behavior and know it will ultimately change. For some it will change for the better, for others it will change for the worst. Before you enter in to the race you have to determine what kind of animal you are and how long you want or are willing to stay in the rat race. An up market is dominated by the Bulls and a down market is dominated by the bears. When the market goes down a lot of bulls will acquire more stock at the lower prices to lessen their overall lose. When the market shoots up a lot of bears will dump the short positions they are holding, this sometimes creates a false sense of market stability and the lemming mentality takes over sometimes affecting market conditions too. It's all a tug of war sort of thing as well as an I'll bet this will happen mentality. Heck we haven't even talked about duration, duration and duration in holding onto reasonable stocks. Ultimately it comes down to risk assessment and patience through faith in the economy and development of other economies.
