What is going on with Chinese boxing scene?

Question

I know there are Chinese amateur boxers competing in the Olympics, but I mean on the pro scene. It seems to me that China would not end up being like Cuba in the aspect of their amateur fighters because we trade with them so much or I'm I wrong? Or is their boxing program just developing and is it just a matter of time that they'll come on to the scene?
