What is going on with my Sirius Radio Reception?

I've had Sirius Radio for about 2 years now. I just got a new receiver about 2 months ago, and I remember that my old radio did this too so I don't believe its my receiver.

Lately, Especially today, the receiver is only showing 2 bars of signal strength both in my car and in my home. (It use to always show 3 bars). Every once in a while, it will cut out and say "Acquiring Signal". Then it will come back for a few seconds, then cut out again. It doesn't matter where I put the antenna, and I've made sure that the antenna for my house is outside, away from trees, can see the sky, etc. And in my car, I'm not driving under anything that would interfere with the signal.

Whats going on?!?!

You're not the only one who's having problems. We've been answering this question for a couple of weeks now.

If you live at the xtreme edge of the signal (Long Island, parts of WA or ME), but not near enough to a big city to rate ground-based boosters, you may be stuck until the phenomenum clears up.

In any case, you should call sirius 1-888-539-SIRIUS (7474).
