What is going on with my eyesight?!?!

This may sound silly.. but I wear contacts, and I've noticed that when I take them out, my vision is extremely blurry. It seems like the more I wear them, the worse it is. Is it possible that they're making my eyesight worse than it already is??

  1. no. its just because your eyes are trying to adjust without the contacts. it gets better after a while.

  2. Artificial corrections(glasses, contacts, lasik) do tend to make vision worse. Artificial corrections for distance vision are way over corrected for up close. Nearsights see fine up close, but when they put artificial corrections on, their eyes have to change their normal focusing in order to see clearly through them up close. Nearsighted corrections eventually take away good vision up close.

  3. they are not making your eyesight worse, you just may be becoming more dependant on them.

Are your contacts toric (for an astigmatism)  if you have an astigmatism the contacts may be to treat that or do you wear hard contact, this another way to treat astig.
