I'm 16 years old. For the last three weeks i've had trouble with my thumb. It keeps going stiff and like it gets stuck (but i can still move it). When i hold it up normally, it is bent. It hurts sometimes when it feels asthough it gets stuck. It has been irritating me. I'm going to see a doctor but does anyone know what this could be?

  1. It could be DeQuervain's or tenosynovitis.

  2. tendonitis ,

  3. My daughter broke her arm and after it was all healed she had problems like this because the surgeon stuck a pin through a tendon that runs up her arm.

If you haven't had surgery then it might just be a pulled tendon.  It runs from your elbow to your wrist and controls the thumb.

Seeing a doctor is the best idea.

    Good Luck
