What is going on with the mta trains?

My boyfriend called me letting me know no trains are going into manhattan (2.4.5. &6) and the mta website is down. Can someone inform me.

  1. Power outage today (6/27) on the Upper East Side and areas of the Bronx.  Con Ed has restored power by nightfall so I hear.
