Hey, I don't watch the news a lot but recently, I saw the news mentioning something about U.S and Georgia. I know that these questions might sound dumb but I want to know what's going on rite now. I don't get what the news is saying since sometimes, it uses hard words or difficult phrases, etc...So I'd appreciate it if anyone can tell me wats going on. First of all, is "Georgia" our U.S state "Georgia" or some other country? Also, what is going on about Russia and U.S? Is there another war going on or something? Please give me some detailed but not hard to understand information. Thank You.

  1. This Georgia (in the news) is a province of Russia. See European map, please. As of last reporting, Russia may be trying to control Georgia for fuel reserves that Georgia has. It's a matter of profits not being gained by Russia.  Russia supplies many European countries with fuel.  They know Georgia's fuel is independent of Russia and Russia wants the fuel, so it has been reported on CSpan.

  2. Dude, Read a newspaper every once in awhile, please. Not just the headlines, but the entire article.

  3. Nah you're fine. Georgia is a country in Europe. Russia and Georgia are in war i guess. Russia wants them to pull out of a territory which Georgia says is theirs. US is trying to reslove it, also Bush is kinda mad at Russia. So dont worry bout US georgia.

  4. Yes there is a war but it is not in America.   It is in Europe.  This Georgia is a country that used to be part of the Soviet Union before the Soviet Union broke up.   There is am independent  territory there that Russia has wanted.  That territory is surrounded on all sides by the country of Georgia.  Russia gave the ppl there Russian citizenship as well as their having citizenship of their own territory.  So when there came a fuss between the people in that territory and the country of Georgia Russia went in and attacked the country of Georgia saying it was defending its citizens.  These places have a long complicated history.   I learned all this on the main Yahoo page.  That is an easy place to get news and see clips that interest you that give a sense of what is happening without getting real heavy or complicated.

  5. dude its not georgia in the u.s its a different country.
