While French reporters have begun: " to depict London as a city of mean streets, rampant crime and "no-go" areas." We have the same problem over here in the U.S. The American killers chose victims at two leading universities UNC and Duke. What is similar in U.K. and U.S. is the level of the brutality. The woman killed at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) was shot in the head with a shot gun. This is hardly necessary for a robery. Conspiracy theorists have stated that these kinds of killings are meant to keep the public in a constant state of terror. http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=4436131

  1. It's the law of the jungle.

  2. When this Government got in it said it was going to be tough on crime, instead we have seen the opposite. Seeing a copper on the beat is a thing of the past, you report a crime and they are too busy to respond or not interested. When my car got broken into i reported it, and they sent me a leaflet on how to avoid crime. No policeman just a leaflet, my daughters 3 week old bike was stolen from the back garden, yet again not interested. If these people keep getting away with it, then it is no wonder that we now find ourselves in this state. Harriet Harmen went out in London during the day, surrounded by police and she still wore a stab proof vest.

  3. London is certainly becoming a very dangerous place, especially in the inner city sink estates, even in the tourist centre there are plenty of muggings and robberies at knife point.

This US case seems different. I would guess that (as usual) drugs were involved, these guys were probably strung out, needed cash for a fix and robbed and murdered the girl and guy for just that reason.

These kind of killings DO keep the public in a state of terror - which is why so many morons have a pistol in their night drawer ready to be stolen during a burglary or used against them by intruders - but a conspiracy? By who?

  4. UK and US lead the way in a civilsed society - joke.

  5. I don't mean to sound so cold about this, but a shot through the head is a little different than being stabbed 200 times like those poor french boys who were in London studying.

please don't get me wrong, murder is wrong and tragic no matter how it's done, but in my opinion, it takes a more twisted and sick individual to brutally murder 2 boys by stabbing them repeatedly than it is to simply pull the trigger on a gun!

my point? the only difference I see in your question is that London seems to be a lot more violent than America, i guess its because you guys just can buy guns at the supermarket...

edit: I totally agree that the intent is the same...whether it be pulling the trigger or using a knife, it's still murder and the person is sick, however, for some reason think I that dying from a single bullet through the head is less violent than being stabbed 200 times. when the murderer pulls the trigger, that's it! the person is dead, there is no going back!! but when some one SLOWLY kills their victim, I tend to think they are that little bit more sick and enjoy torturing...

sorry I cant explain my way of thinking more clearly than that...I'm tired :)

  6. Society breakdown - kids have zero respect for anything - they are surly rude and aggressive and everyone panders to the kids.

They need discipline, routine and love and obviously some of them come from bad families.

  7. People are going mad with boredom.

They should get a real job and then they won't have time to lose their mind.

  8. i suggest that they arrest this tarantino guy immediately

  9. london is horrible, stabbing is the prefered method...
