I know they are still in FIRST Place and the Brewers lost their last two games so the lead is still 4.5, but I hope this is not the start of a Sept skid, after such a wonderful season.

  1. Everyone's always ready to attack a team on top. Guess when they haven't lost a lot all season, people have to look for ways to attack.  This is their short lived opportunity.  Well - have fun attacking, cause it won't last long. Cubs fans -- don't worry -- this is the year.  100 wins are coming, so is the World Series.  I BELIEVE!!

  2. Every team goes through rough spots throughout the year and I don't think this is anything to get worked up over.  The Cubs have not lost more then 4 games in a row all season long.  The Cubs also have scored the most runs in the NL and have the best run differential in MLB.  The Cubs will be fine.  They're in a small slump that they will soon break out of.  They just happened to catch the Astros at a bad time; they're the hottest team in baseball right now.  Also with where the Cubs are at right now it's next to impossible for them to fall apart so much that they miss the playoffs.  With about 23 games left the Cubs have a 4 1/2 game lead in the division and if they somehow lost the division to the Brewers then they also have about a 10 game lead on the 2nd best wild card team.

  3. This is a good thing for cubs.Bring them back down and doesnt let them get to comfortable.Starts the fire again. We will be fine.Any retarted comments are expected from yankee fans

  4. CUBS=Completely Useless By September

  5. It can be something positive for their season.  Soriano began talking about the playoffs a few days ago, stating how if they continued playing as they were they would make it or the WS or something like that.  Maybe this will help them focus on each game and not take anything for granted.

    One game at a time.

  6. I don't follow the Cubs but have they really had many 4 or 5 game skids this year?

I mean I don't know but many teams, many good teams have little bumps. Rays and Angels have had their bumps as well. I don't think it's anything to be concerned over.

If I was a Cubs fan I would be more worried about Lou Pinella's decisions in the postseason.

  7. Cubs are done this is Astros time.  We done it in 05 we can do it now too.
