  1. Even top-seeded players have their off days.  Especially in a grand slam tournament weeks after another GS tournament.

It only gets controversial because a lot of people, the players included,  have put high hopes in their chances of winning the trophy.  You know how Roddick and Djokovic proclaimed that they have good chances of getting in the finals.  When they didnt, people talk about what went wrong.

  2. Haven't got a clue.

All the big players seem to be dropping out.

The mens 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th all out and as I type the 5th is also losing.

The ladies we've lost the 1st, 3rd and more.

Nadal has also looked shaky at times and all the seeds are struggling.

This can only be a good thing for tennis as it means it is a bit more unpredictable (although the ladies always is quite unpredictable) and anyone can beat anyone. For example: Eaton beating his guy in round 1.

But the main reason behind it is most probably the lower ranked players are all getting better and more determined.

Let's see who else goes out in the next few days.

  3. Federer or Nadal.  Unfortunately, Roddick will never pose a true threat.

  4. No no no. You have it all wrong. The list of top seeded players out of Wimbledon is: Djokovic, Roddick, Blake, Davydenko, Nalbandian, Ferrrer, Berdych, and Gonzalez for the men and Sharapova, Ivanovic, Hantuchova, and Bartoli for the women. Wow. That is one long list.

All of the top seeded men's players bowing out in the early rounds plays in the favor of both Federer and Nadal to meet in yet again another Grand Slam final (seriously is this the best tennis rivalry ever or what?) as they will either have to face lower seeded players or maybe even unseeded players in the latter rounds of Wimbledon. For the women I think it plays to the favor of the William sisters, Jankovic, and Kuznetsova.

Hey, what a minute. It just occurred to me that all of the top seeded players going down might just give Andy Murray a shot at winning Wimbledon. Eh, never mind. Never gonna happen.

Edit: Haha, oops sorry about that greyzone2.

  5. As for Roddick ---  Tipsarevic is a tough player and there was only little room for errors and Roddick made it.

As for Djokovic, Sharapova, Davydenko and Nalbandian --- They played like they were juniors. They sucked so bad I could no bare to watch. Especially Sharapova she sucked big time. Davydenko sucks in grass.

Ivanovic -- She was lucky she made it to third round and Finally was given the defeat she deserved. I have never seen a world number 1 so beatable like Ivanovic.

  6. They are having a bad run in the Wimbledon, because they aren't the greatest on grass court!

Everyone has to be knocked out aswell so they were unlucky to be knocked out earlier!

Sharapova, and Roddick have been knockd out early for the last 2 years.

Roddick had a tough match against Tipsaravic who is young, and has been doing good lately, but I think Roddick is loosing it now, and he is my favourite player.

  7. Lol, Roddick is no surprise and shouldnt be a surprise. But Sharapova and Ana are a huge dissapointment. It's the upset bug.

  8. They are getting creamed. Maybe the underdogs are starting to get more confidence. Some of the top seeds are playing rotten tennis!
