I am currently being sued by a rental office b/c my old roommates were in an altercation, which caused one to leave without paying her share of the rent, which then caused to get evicted, b/c we couldn't hold her share of the billssso the rental office is suing us, the lawyer has tried to contact me for payment, but since i never been in this situation, i just thought the right thing to do was to show up in court, what is going to happen when i get to court????

I am full time student and have a part time job will the judge order me to pay my share immediately

  1. Having all your documentations in order about all payments for rental per rental agreement, show documentations of the room mate's non payments status and any agreements that they have to pay the rent and see if the parties who did not pay will also be in court or sue them for nonpayment since the rental office is suing you for payments

    see what the judge does.
