What is golden section in art?

  1. It's a way of putting together a painting based on mathematical proportions. Because it can be mathematically derived, the golden section can often be found in nature (such as in the shape of some seashells.)

    Leonardo da Vinci is said to have made many paintings inspired by this, and many other artists since then have also used golden ratios as well.
