What is gonna happen to Mccain's pow story, when Biden's tragedy is in the news?

I think the American people will be touched by him. You can even consider him a hero. The poor guy.

This will sound harsh and I know I'll get tons of thumbs down, but here it goes. What happened to Biden's first wife and child is a tragedy, and God bless him for being able to withstand it. But, what happened to Sen. Biden's family also happens to thousands of other families every year.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

swf42:  I KNOW that McCain wasn't the only POW/MIA. I never said that he was. Haven't heard about wanting to "Abandoning any POW/MIA left over there". You must be refering to McCain's wanting to normalize relations between the US and Vietnam. I don't think that is the same thing as abandoning them. You seriously can't either. I know numerous people that served in Vietnam, some that aren't the same as when they left. None of them wanted to go through what McCain went through.

And no, Biden probably won't make his past tragedy a campaign issue. He knows that Obama's supporters will do it for him in an effort to make the ticket "more human".

madd texan..  in case you didn't know.  mccain was NOT the only pow ever.  in fact he supports abandoning any pow/mia left over there.  funny that.

i for one think he's over played this hand.  he was not endlessly tortured for 5 1/2 yrs.  they did not break his arms (they were broke in the plane crash)  

really if phil gramm thinks i am whining about the economy, why doesn't he get in his buddy john's face about whining about this pow thing that happened over 30 yrs ago.

I'll be honest.  He seems like a pretty stand up guy.  I find it funny that Obama has realized how much the fundies run the elections now.
