What is good nesting material for lovebirds?

should i make the nest myself or let the lovebirds and what do i need

Go buy a nesting BOX from the pet shop and put some pine shavings in it for bedding. Thats the best safest way to prepare a nest box for all birds.

Hi,

buy a nest box, put a layer of sawdust in. Then get ofcuts of pine and other softwoods and place it in the aviary so they can chew it. Lovebirds build their own nest buy chewing the wood then carrying the wood upto their nest. I placed the wood in there to try and stop them chewing the wooden frame of the aviary as this is their natural behaviour.

dry timothy hey, or just get the nest in the pet store. but i would let them make their own it would be fun to watch them build their nest :)
