  1. I may be wrong here but I believe the airlines provide all the training that they require for their own flight attendants.  What you need to bring to the company is a good attitude, customer service skills, the ability to work in a sometimes stressful environment, the ability to think in times of emergency, a degree of physical fitness, and overall, strong  interpersonal skills.  The rest (work specific) will be up to the company to provide.

    Good luck.

  2. Apply to the locally based airlines. Each airline generally has it's own training course you will have to go through. This will involve safety procedures in the event of an emergency, first aid, etc. They will have set criteria for your weight and height and also the distance you can swim.

  3. there are schools that claim to train you for any flight attendant job, and then they provide placement after charging you a fee.  Don't go to one of these places.  Many airlines don't like them, and they want to train you their way, not the school's way.  They are a waste of money.  I know a few FA's who went to schools like that, and after they got the job, they said the school was worthless.  Just apply at the airlines directly, like the previous posters said.
