  1. Use a net. Also, don't let the tails touch the net. The net will break.

  2. Are they goldfish or koi? If so, really teenie hook will work, or a normal snelled hook with corn will work for each, respectively

  3. Same thing you would use for carp - that is what they are....

I'd go with a size 16 hook with a piece of corn or dough bait made from corn meal with some sugar or just a small piece of bread dough. You might also try some peas - one on a hook.

    Good luck....

Never went fishing for them but I know they make good bait - but usually illegal!!

  4. Yah its possible if you use a sardine sized hook. like a really small one. But ive done it b4 so go 4 it!!

  5. I had much practice fishing for goldfish and koi when I had knee surgery. I was stuck in a bed with my leg dangling in the air for 2 weeks in which I contemplated my strategy to catch koi and goldfish out of my aquarium on a daily basis. During that time I noticed that despite being fed regular flakes and all the fancy foods my wife bought, they would eat biscuit dough, bread balls and cooked rice. I was quickly busted when my wife discovered the food all over the walls from me tossing it towards the tank. I blamed the pain pills to disguise my dubious scheme. I quickly wrote out a check for 1 million dollars to my oldest daughter if she would bring my fishing gear within my reach. When my wife left, I went to work!  I used a sabiki rig #10 and cut it down so that only 3 hooks were on it. I left a tag line at the bottom and made a knot. Just above the knot I placed a split shot. I then removed the wing part on each hook and hooked a dough ball on to each hook. Worked like a charm and I was content all day except for 2 major problems with my scheme. 1, at the time I was so broke that I couldn't afford to pay attention so that million dollar check was sure to bounce. 2, I couldn't reach the tank to put the fish back in. Luckily for me, I had a nurse who visited daily and I had her pour the fish out of my water pitcher back into the tank.  I did this every day and sure enough the nurse snitched me out and the tank was moved into the next room for the next week. As for the check, my daughter actually tried to cash it and I was stuck with a "insufficient funds " fee of 35 bucks! d**n pills, they were too strong and I was out of my mind! Anyways, try my method and see if it works out for you, just leave the pills out of it.~lol good luck catchin'.
